About this service
Our modern, German-made electrocardiograph records the heart’s electrical activity and helps us detect arrhythmias and conduction disorders.
Echocardiography shows the structures of the heart from the inside and how well the valves work, while Doppler measures blood flow in the heart and vessels. We measure blood pressure in every animal.

Frequently asked questions
Why have an ECG before surgery?
To assess the anaesthetic risk. In older animals and predisposed breeds, ECG and echocardiography can reveal hidden problems and let us adapt the anaesthetic protocol.
Does my pet need sedation for an ECG?
No. The test is painless and takes only a few minutes; your pet lies on its side.
Can heart disease be treated?
Many heart conditions can be kept under control with medication, and your pet can have a long, comfortable life. The key is early diagnosis and regular monitoring.
